About The Balloon Explorium
The Balloon Explorium is a New Mexico–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit and all-volunteer organization founded in 1999. We create hands-on learning experiences that use tissue paper balloons and the science of lighter-than-air flight to spark curiosity and support the teaching of STEM concepts in ways students can see, build, and remember.
Through school programs, community outreach, educational resources, and ballooning history content, we help children, families, and educators across New Mexico explore the history, sport, and science of ballooning.
Mission
